23course of his or her job duties as a fire fighter, rescue squad member, or emergency
24medical technician and the injury prevents the individual from subsequently
25performing such job duties, the individual may retain these this special plates plate.

14the U.S. department of veterans affairs certifying to the department that the person
15has been awarded a medal authorized under an act of congress relating to that
16person's service in the U.S. armed forces, as defined in s. 40.02 (57m), the department
17shall, free of charge, procure, issue and deliver to that veteran one decal, similar in
18appearance to the medal awarded to that veteran, for each motor vehicle registered
19in the name of that veteran. Notwithstanding s. 341.61 (3), a decal issued under this
20section shall be displayed in the manner directed by the department on the rear
21registration plate of the vehicle registered in the name of the veteran to whom the
22decal was issued. The department shall specify one combination of colors and design
23for each medal authorized under an act of congress for which a statement has been
24received by the department under this section, except that the department may not
25specify the colors or design unless the colors and design are approved in writing by

1the state department of veterans affairs. Not more than one decal may be issued
2under this section for each motor vehicle registered in the name of a veteran.

6registration plate issued on an annual basis shall pay a fee of $15 for the issuance
7of the plate and $15 in each succeeding year to maintain the plate. In addition to the
8regular application fee provided under s. 341.25 (1) (b) or 341.26 (3) (a) 1., the
9applicant for a personalized registration plate issued on a biennial basis shall pay
10a fee of $30 for issuance of the plate if the plate is issued during the first year of the
11biennial registration period or $15 for issuance of the plate if the plate is issued
12during the 2nd year of the biennial registration period. The fee to maintain a
13personalized plate issued on a biennial basis is $30. The fee for reissuance of a
14personalized plate shall be $15 for an annual registration and $30 for a biennial
15registration. An applicant for a personalized plates plate issued under sub. (1) (b)
16or (c) shall not be required to pay the fee for initial issuance of the plates plate.

10registration plates plate upon request of the department may be required to forfeit
11not more than $200.

15may issue an applicant for a replacement plates plate for an automobile registered

17design specified in s. 341.13 for the plate issuance cycle next succeeding the cycle
18under which the original plates were plate was issued. The department may limit
19the receipt of requests under this subsection to applicants for a renewal registration
20of a motor vehicle.

9subsequent transferee of a motor vehicle which has a model year of 1945 or earlier
10and which has not been altered or modified from the original manufacturer's
11specifications may upon application register the same as an antique vehicle upon
12payment of a fee of $5, and be furnished a registration plates plate of a distinctive
13design, in lieu of the usual registration plates plate, which shall show in addition to
14the registration number that the vehicle is an antique. The registration shall be
15valid while the vehicle is owned by the applicant without the payment of any
16additional fee. The vehicle shall only be used for special occasions such as display
17and parade purposes or for necessary testing, maintenance and storage purposes.
18A motorcycle may be registered as an antique vehicle if all of the requirements for
19registration specified in this subsection are satisfied.

22may furnish and display on the vehicle a historical plate from or representing the

6transportation at least one vehicle that has a regular registration plates plate may
7upon application register the vehicle as a special interest vehicle upon payment of
8a fee under par. (b).

14the vehicle without the payment of any additional fee.

20application, the owner may reregister the vehicle without the payment of any

20one-twelfth of the difference between the 2 annual fees multiplied by the number of
21months for which the automobile which is the subject of the application is being
22registered. The start of the new registration, for the purpose of computing the fee,
23shall be determined in accordance with sub. (7).

5occurred and was not currently registered at the time of such transfer, termination
6of the consumer lease, discontinuance of use on the highways, junking or registration
7under s. 341.266 (2) (a) or 341.268 (2) (a), the applicant shall pay a fee to be computed
8as provided in subs. (3) to (5) but shall receive a credit for the unused portion of the
9current registration. The credit shall be computed on the basis of one-twelfth of the
10annual fee paid for the vehicle from which the plates were plate was removed
11multiplied by the number of months remaining in the registration period
12represented by the removed plates plate, including the month during which the
13applicant transferred, discontinued to use on the highways, junked or registered
14under s. 341.266 (2) (a) or 341.268 (2) (a) or terminated the consumer lease of the
15automobile from which the plates were plate was removed.
