AB96-ASA1-AA5,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB96-ASA1-AA5,1,2 1. Page 3, line 16: after that line insert:

AB96-ASA1-AA5,1,8 "(2m) Notwithstanding section 15.49 (2) of the statutes, as affected by this act, any person serving as a member of the board of veterans affairs on the effective date of this subsection whose nomination has been confirmed by the senate on or before that date may continue to hold office and exercise the powers and duties of that office for the residue of his or her unexpired term, as determined under Section 11 (5), and until his or her successor is appointed and qualified.".

AB96-ASA1-AA5,1,9 2. Page 4, line 3: delete "(a)".

AB96-ASA1-AA5,2,2 3. Page 4, line 4: delete lines 4 to 20 and substitute "stats., and section 15.49 (2) of the statutes, as affected by this act, the 2 members of the board of veterans affairs who are serving on the board on the effective date of this act and whose terms expire on May 1, 2019, shall serve for terms expiring on May 1, 2017.".
