(3m) No later than 30 days before any election to be held in a municipality
6at which electors will vote at a polling place location that is different from the polling
7place to which the electors were assigned at the preceding election, the municipal
8clerk shall notify the county clerk of the ward or wards to which the change applies
9and the current and previous polling place locations for those ward or wards. The
10clerk shall provide the same notification to each candidate for whom the clerk serves
11as filing officer whose name appears on the ballot at the first election at which the
12change applies, no later than the same date that the county clerk receives notice
1under this subsection, either in person or by electronic mail, telephone, facsimile
2transmission, or 1st class letter.

3(3n) Whenever a municipality changes the polling place for the electors of any
4ward, the municipal clerk shall publicly post a notice at the polling place where the
5electors formerly voted on the day of the election at which the changes first apply
6redirecting electors to the current polling place for the electors of the ward.".

(5) (a) Except as provided in par. (b) and this paragraph, whenever a
11municipal clerk receives a valid registration or valid change of a name or address
12under an existing registration and whenever a municipal clerk changes a
13registration from eligible to ineligible status, the municipal clerk shall promptly
14enter electronically on the list maintained by the board under s. 6.36 (1) the
15information required under that subsection. Except as provided in par. (b) and this
16paragraph, the municipal clerk may update any entries that change on the date of
17an election other than a general election within 30 days after the date of that election,
18and may update any entries that change on the date of a general election within 45
19days after the date of that election. The legal counsel of the board may, upon request
20of a municipal clerk, permit the clerk to update entries that change on the date of a
21general election within 60 days after that election.
The municipal clerk shall update
22the registration list for the municipality to incorporate changes in polling place
23locations no later than 30 days before the election at which the changes first apply
24unless a change first applies at an election to be held less than 30 days before a
1previous election, in which case the clerk shall update the registration list to
2incorporate the change no later than 7 days after the change takes effect. The
3municipal clerk shall provide to the board information that is confidential under s.
46.47 (2) in such manner as the board prescribes.".
