2011 Assembly RESOLUTION 19

AR19,1,2 To repeal assembly rule 26 (7); and to create assembly rule 26 (8); relating to: conduct in the assembly visitor gallery.

This resolution amends the assembly rules to permit a person in the assembly visitor gallery to display a sign that is not larger than 8 1/2 inches in width and 11 inches in height, but only if the sign is not held over the person's head. In addition, the resolution amends the assembly rules to permit a person in the assembly visitor gallery to photograph or videotape any of the proceedings in the chamber.

AR19,1,3 Resolved by the assembly, That:

AR19, s. 1 Section 1. Assembly rule 26 (8) is created to read:

AR19,1,6 Assembly Rule 26 (8) A person in the visitor galleries may do any of the following:

AR19,1,8 (a) Display a sign that is not larger than 8 1/2 inches in width and 11 inches in height, but only if the sign is not held over the person's head.

AR19,1,10 (b) Photograph any of the proceedings in the chamber, but only with nonflash photography equipment.

AR19,2,1 (c) Videotape any of the proceedings in the chamber.

AR19, s. 2 Section 2. Assembly rule 26 (7) is repealed.
