ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 389

AB389-ASA1-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB389-ASA1-AA1,1,3 1. Page 2, line 12: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with page 3, line 2, and substitute:

AB389-ASA1-AA1,1,5 " Section 3c. 346.57 (4) (gm) of the statutes is renumbered 346.57 (4) (gm) (intro.) and amended to read:

AB389-ASA1-AA1,1,9 346.57 (4) (gm) (intro.) Sixty-five miles per hour on On any freeway or expressway. that is not a part of the national system of interstate and defense highways, 65 miles per hour, and on any freeway or expressway that is a part of the national system of interstate and defense highways, the following:

AB389-ASA1-AA1,3d Section 3d. 346.57 (4) (gm) 1. and 2. of the statutes are created to read:

AB389-ASA1-AA1,1,12 346.57 (4) (gm) 1. Sixty-five miles per hour for a commercial motor vehicle, except a motor bus, having a gross weight of more than 26,000 pounds.

AB389-ASA1-AA1,2,1 2. Seventy miles per hour for any vehicle not identified in subd. 1.".

AB389-ASA1-AA1,2,3 " Section 3m. 349.11 (8) (c) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB389-ASA1-AA1,2,9 349.11 (8) (c) Maximum Except on a highway that is an expressway, as defined in s. 346.57 (1) (ag), or a freeway, as defined in s. 346.57 (1) (am), and that is part of the national system of interstate and defense highways, maximum speed limits which are not uniformly applicable to all types of motor vehicles using a highway, except that a lower speed limit may be established for any vehicle operating under a special permit because of any weight or dimension of such vehicle.".
