AB396-SA1,1,21 At the locations indicated, amend the bill, as shown by assembly substitute
2amendment 1, as follows:
AB396-SA1,1,6 31. Page 6, line 22: after "(b)" insert "An occupant of a retirement home may
4vote in person at the polling place serving his or her residence or may apply for and
5cast an absentee ballot at the election in the same manner as provided for other
6electors of the municipality where he or she resides.".
AB396-SA1,1,11 72. Page 7, line 3: delete the material beginning with "An" and ending with
8"resides." on line 6 and substitute "The municipal clerk or board of election
9commissioners shall then provide the names and addresses to the special voting
10deputies to verify which residents are eligible to cast their ballots with the special
11voting deputies.".
AB396-SA1,2,2 123. Page 12, line 3: delete the material beginning with "When" and ending with
13"dispatched," on line 5 and substitute "As soon as possible after visiting each

1residential care facility or retirement home, but not later than 18 hours after the

4ending with "day" on line 11 and substitute ", within such time as will permit delivery
5to the polling place serving the elector's residence on election day. Personal delivery
6may be made by the deputies no later than noon on election day

AB396-SA1,2,8 86. Page 13, line 14: after that line insert:
