(1) (cr) "Enhanced federal medical assistance percentage" means a

42 USC 1396d (y) or (z).".

Section 4d. 49.471 (4g) of the statutes is created to read:

(4g) Medicaid expansion; federal medical assistance percentage. For
11services provided to individuals described under sub. (4) (a) 4. and s. 49.45 (23), the
12department shall comply with all federal requirements to qualify for the highest
13available enhanced federal medical assistance percentage. The department shall
14submit any amendment to the state medical assistance plan, any request for a waiver
15of the federal Medicaid law, or any other approval required by the federal
16government to provide services to the individuals described under sub. (4) (a) 4. and
17s. 49.45 (23) and to qualify for the highest available enhanced federal medical
18assistance percentage.".

(2m) Medical Assistance eligibility; temporary extension. Beginning on
23January 1, 2014, the department of health services shall do all of the following until
24April 1, 2014:

1(a) Allow individuals whose family income does not exceed 200 percent of the
2federal poverty line, who were receiving benefits under section 49.471 (4) (a) 4. or (b)
34. of the statutes on December 31, 2013, and who would otherwise be eligible for
4benefits under section 49.471 (4) (a) 4. of the statutes except for the income limit to
5be eligible to receive benefits under section 49.471 (4) (a) 4. of the statutes.

(b) Allow individuals whose family income does not exceed 200 percent of the

8statutes as of December 31, 2013, and who would otherwise be eligible for benefits
9under section 49.45 (23) of the statutes except for the income limit to be eligible to
10continue receiving benefits under section 49.45 (23) of the statutes.".
