Announcements, Adjournment Honors, and Remarks Under
Special Privilege
Senator Miller, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of Mary-Jo Bambrough, who recently retired from the custodial staff in the State Capitol. Mary-Jo began to work here in 1989 and from her very first day on the job until her retirement last week, she was a dedicated public employee who made certain that the State Capitol was clean for all of the people who work here and everyone who visits each day. Senator Miller asked that the Senate joins him in wishing Mary-Jo all the best and thanking her for her service to them and the people of Wisconsin.
Senator Lassa, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of Audrey H. Jacowski of Almond, who passed away on January 16, 2014. Audrey was a warm hearted person who was deeply dedicated to her family and our community. She was well respected amongst her friends and colleagues. She believed in public service having worked for local residents as part of the 7th Congressional District office and U.S. Census Bureau. Audrey was also committed to our democratic form of government having served as a town poll worker. Her dedication to family and community serves as a great example for others. She will be greatly missed.
Senator Lassa, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of Norman Thrasher of Almond, who passed away on December 21, 2013. Norman was a wonderful man who deeply loved his family and hosting family gatherings for his children and grandchildren. He also was dedicated to providing exceptional care to the residents of Liberty Manor in Adams where he worked as a med tech. He was a kind hearted person who truly made a difference in the lives of the people he touched. He will be greatly missed.
Senator Wirch, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of Bob Loss on his 90th birthday. Bob has been a school administrator and good citizen in our community.
