Senator Erpenbach, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of the retiring Senators, Senators Cullen, Jauch, Lehman and Schultz.
Senator Farrow, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of Daniel Farrow, 22, and Barbara Vaitl, 79, both who are celebrating their birthdays today.
Senator Carpenter, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of the U.S. military serving overseas. For the first time in more than seven years, there were zero combat casualties among U.S. military forces in Afghanistan during a full calendar month.
Senator Carpenter, with unanimous consent, asked that when the Senate adjourns, it do so in honor of his constituents who have shown a commendable interest in civic participation by attending over 160 town halls and community listening sessions held in the 3rd Senate District. These constituents’ suggestions and ideas have helped make our community and our state government more responsive to the views and needs of the 3rd Senate District, as well as the lives of the citizens of Wisconsin and have immeasurably helped Senator Carpenter to perform his job as an elected official to the best of his ability.
