Office of the Senate Majority Leader
June 18, 2014
The Honorable, the Senate:
Pursuant to Wis. Stats. 15.207 (16), I am nominating Sheriff Patricia Ninmann of Dodge County as the Senate majority leader’s nominee to the Governor’s Council on Domestic Abuse. Sheriff Ninmann will be replacing Jamie Kratz-Gullickson effective July 1, 2014.
As you know, statue requires that appointees “have a recognized interest in and knowledge of the problems and treatment of victims of domestic abuse.” Sheriff Ninmann possesses more than twenty one years of law enforcement experience, and has seen first-hand the effects that domestic abuse can have on our communities. In addition to her law enforcement experience, Sheriff Ninmann is active in the Dodge County People Against A Violent Environment, the Dodge county Domestic Abuse Response Team, and also serves on the Department of Justice’s Domestic Violence Training Advisory Committee.
Sheriff Ninmann’s interest in this area, as well as her law enforcement background and community involvement, ensure that she will be a tremendous asset to the Governor’s Council on Domestic Abuse, and it is my honor to submit her nomination. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
SCOTT FITZGERALD
Senate Majority Leader
