52013, as both the first Jesuit and the first Latin American pope, chose for himself the
6papal name of Francis, after St. Francis of Assisi, in order to always be reminded of

Whereas, since being elected pope, Francis has set an example by choosing to
9forego the official papal residence at the Apostolic Palace and instead choosing to live
10at the Vatican guesthouse, as well as foregoing gold for silver in both his piscatory

11Wisconsin legislature commend the achievements of Pope Francis and thank him for
