Special Privilege
Senator Harris Dodd, with unanimous consent, asked that the Senate adjourn in honor of the 30th Street Industrial Corridor Corporation and the participants of the 2015 Unite Milwaukee Summit, an anti-violence summit she co-hosted. The 30th Street Industrial Corridor Corporation is a non-profit who works with businesses in Milwaukee to create jobs for community members. Over 150 community neighbors, organizations, and activists came together to brainstorm solutions to violence in their neighborhoods. They were inspiring. They were individuals from every walk of life, every age, every race, and every background. They understood that solutions to violence start on every block and in every neighborhood. Senator Harris Dodd thanks them for their participation in the summit and looks forward to working with them in the coming months to make Milwaukee safer for their children.
