“It is my honor to welcome Senator Chris Kapenga on his first session day in the Senate. A Certified Public Accountant by trade, Senator Kapenga joins us after serving three terms in the State Assembly, where he championed numerous conservative reforms and worked to reduce the tax burden for Wisconsin residents.
He will continue this work in the Senate, where he will serve as chair of the Senate Committee on Public Benefit and Regulatory Reform, vice chair of the Committee on Elections and Local Government and will sit on the Committee on Government Operations and Consumer Protection.”

Upon the calling of the newly elected Senator on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, Chris Kapenga appeared before the Senate, took and subscribed a ceremonial oath of office which was administered by the Honorable Pat Roggensack, Chief Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
