This bill requires the Department of Health Services to award grants to
counties or regions of counties for their mobile crisis teams to obtain training on
recognizing and serving individuals with dementia.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

Mobile crisis team grants. Biennially, the amounts in the
6schedule for awarding grants to counties or regions to establish certified crisis
7programs that create mental health mobile crisis teams under s. 46.536
(1) and to
8provide training to mobile crisis teams on dementia under s. 46.536 (2).

Dementia training grants. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the
9statutes for the appropriation to the department of health services under section
1020.435 (5) (cf) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 2015, the dollar amount for
11fiscal year 2016-17 is increased by $250,000 to provide grants for dementia training
12for mobile crisis teams under s. 46.536 (2).
