AB790,1,3 1An Act to renumber 46.536; to amend 20.435 (5) (cf); and to create 46.536 (2)
2of the statutes; relating to: dementia training grants for mobile crisis teams
3and making an appropriation.

This bill requires the Department of Health Services to award grants to
counties or regions of counties for their mobile crisis teams to obtain training on
recognizing and serving individuals with dementia.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB790,1 4Section 1. 20.435 (5) (cf) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB790,1,85 20.435 (5) (cf) Mobile crisis team grants. Biennially, the amounts in the
6schedule for awarding grants to counties or regions to establish certified crisis
7programs that create mental health mobile crisis teams under s. 46.536 (1) and to
8provide training to mobile crisis teams on dementia under s. 46.536 (2)
1Section 2. 46.536 of the statutes is renumbered 46.536 (1).
AB790,3 2Section 3. 46.536 (2) of the statutes is created to read:
AB790,2,63 46.536 (2) From the appropriation under s. 20.435 (5) (cf), the department shall
4award grants in the total amount of $250,000 to counties or regions comprising
5multiple counties to obtain training for their mobile crisis teams on recognizing and
6providing services to individuals with dementia.
AB790,4 7Section 4. Fiscal changes.
AB790,2,128 (1) Dementia training grants. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the
9statutes for the appropriation to the department of health services under section
1020.435 (5) (cf) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 2015, the dollar amount for
11fiscal year 2016-17 is increased by $250,000 to provide grants for dementia training
12for mobile crisis teams under s. 46.536 (2).
