ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 987

AB987-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB987-AA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 5: after “registry" insert “, requiring the department of health services to develop and distribute for use a psychiatric advance directive form,".

AB987-AA1,1,4 2. Page 2, line 17: after “disposition," insert “psychiatric advance directives,".

AB987-AA1,1,5 3. Page 6, line 2: after that line insert:

AB987-AA1,1,6 “ Section 13m. Nonstatutory provisions.

AB987-AA1,1,10 (1m) The department of health services shall, after consulting with and receiving comments from persons with experience and an interest in mental health issues, including relevant advocacy organizations, develop and distribute for use a psychiatric advance directive form.

AB987-AA1,2,3 (2m) At the time the department of health services develops the psychiatric advance directive form, the department shall request that the legislative reference bureau draft legislation to conform any conflicting statutory language to accommodate implementation and use of the form. The department shall submit the proposed legislation to the standing committee of each house of the legislature that has jurisdiction over mental health under s. 13.172 (3).”.
