(1c)
Treatment and diversion programs. In the schedule under section 20.005
8(3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of justice under section
920.455 (2) (em) of the statutes, the dollar amount for fiscal year 2018-19 is increased
10by the amount lapsed to the general fund under subsection (1) for the purposes for
11which the appropriation is made. The department of justice shall submit to the joint
12committee on finance a proposed plan for the expenditure of the moneys. If the
13cochairpersons of the committee do not notify the department of justice within 14
1working days after the date of the department's submittal that the committee has
2scheduled a meeting for the purpose of reviewing the proposed plan, the department
3of justice may expend the moneys to implement the proposed plan. If, within 14
4working days after the date of the department's submittal, the cochairpersons of the
5committee notify the department of justice that the committee has scheduled a
6meeting for the purpose of reviewing the proposed plan, the department of justice
7may expend the moneys only to implement the plan as approved by the committee.”.
