SENATE AMENDMENT 7, TO SENATE BILL 49

SB49-SA7,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB49-SA7,1,2 1. Page 11, line 14: delete lines 14 to 18 and substitute:

SB49-SA7,1,5 “196.504 (2) (a) To make broadband expansion grants to eligible applicants for the purpose of constructing broadband infrastructure in underserved areas designated under par. (d).

SB49-SA7,1,8 (2m) Grants awarded under this section shall be paid from the appropriation appropriations under s. 20.155 (1) (q) and (3) (r). In each fiscal year, the total amount of the grants may not exceed $1,500,000.

SB49-SA7,30m Section 30m. 196.504 (2) (am) of the statutes is created to read:

SB49-SA7,2,2 196.504 (2) (am) To make broadband expansion grants to organizations specified in sub. (1) (ac) 1., telecommunications utilities, or political subdivisions for project planning related to broadband infrastructure construction in underserved areas designated under par. (d).”.
