2017 Assembly Joint Resolution 81
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the distinguished life of former representative Mickey Lehman.
Whereas, Michael (Mickey) A. Lehman was born on April 24, 1943, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, to Ansel and Lorraine Lehman and died on August 7, 2017, with family at his side; and
Whereas, Lehman served in the Wisconsin State Assembly for 16 years, representing both the 58th and the 99th assembly districts; and
Whereas, Lehman's service in the community extended from the Hartford Chamber of Commerce to the Department of Revenue as the Administrator of State and Local Affairs, as well as the Miller Park Stadium Board, where he served for 12 years; and
Whereas, during his time in the legislature, Lehman devoted his time to tax reform and business development; and
Whereas, in 1998 and 2000, Lehman was awarded the Working for Wisconsin Award, presented to those legislators who support initiatives that better Wisconsin's economic climate, one of the many accolades Lehman received during his lifetime; and
Whereas, Lehman's dedication to community and family will endure as an inspiration for true Wisconsin values, values which continue to move the state forward; and
Whereas, Lehman is survived by his wife Pamela, children DeAnn, David, and Darcy, stepchildren Bryanna and Brennan, and grandchildren Kyle, Brianna, Kya, and Malia; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the Wisconsin legislature honors the life of Mickey Lehman, a loving father, husband, and cherished member of the community, and extends its sincere sympathies to his family and friends; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall transmit a copy of this joint resolution to Mickey Lehman's family.
