Representative Hutton introduced Tony Award winning actor and singer Anthony Crivello, formerly of Milwaukee, who sang the national anthem, The Star Spangled Banner.

Representative Felzkowski introduced Kevin Schroepfer, who accepted the posthumous Hometown Hero Award on behalf of his son, Justin Schroepfer. Justin died while attempting to save struggling swimmers on June 11, 2016 in Marquette, Michigan. Mr. Schroepfer addressed the members from the rostrum.
