Today, in the US, emergency responders are fighting record wildfires in the American West and working in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. Other emergency responders are on their way to Florida to assist in recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Irma. We remember those emergency workers who helped the victims of Sandy and Katrina and especially those who, seventeen years ago on September 11, responded to the attack on the World Trade Center in New York.
