This bill requires a government entity; public or private elementary, middle,
junior high, or senior high school; childcare center or nursery school; or health care
provider who sends a piece of mail containing information that could disclose another
person's immunization status to ensure that any information that could disclose a
person's immunization status or otherwise allow someone to infer a person's
immunization status is enclosed and sealed in the piece of mail and that no such
information is visible on the outside of the piece of mail.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

1. 252.04 (3m) of the statutes is created to read:

(3m) Any government entity; public or private elementary, middle,
5junior high, or senior high school; childcare center or nursery school; or health care
6provider, as defined in s. 146.81 (1), who sends a piece of mail containing information
7that could disclose another person's immunization status, including immunization
1reminders sent by U.S. mail, shall ensure that any information that could disclose
2a person's immunization status or otherwise allow someone to infer a person's
3immunization status is enclosed and sealed within the piece of mail and that no such
4information is visible on the outside of the piece of mail.
