Representative L. Myers introduced Hometown Hero Award recipient Cecilia Nation, a Milwaukee County Transit System bus driver, who prevented a tragedy when she helped a six year old disabled child to safety by ushering the child onto her bus where she contacted authorities. Ms. Nation addressed the members from the rostrum.

Representative Kuglitsch introduced Hometown Hero Award recipient Sergeant Michael Saddy, in recognition of his life-saving efforts in coming to the aid of two young children who were trapped and severely injured under an overturned golf cart. Sergeant Saddy addressed the members from the rostrum.
