Representative Novak asked unanimous consent to adjourn in memory of Mineral Point Fire Captain Brian Busch and firefighter James “Jim” Ludlum, who died in the line of duty on January 6, 2022, while responding to an accident. Granted.
Representative Hebl asked unanimous consent that the Assembly adjourn in memory of Verna Smet of Stoughton, who passed away on December 22, 2021. Granted.
Representative Hebl asked unanimous consent that the Assembly adjourn in memory of Robert Reichert of Sun Prairie, who passed away on January 4. Granted.
Representative Hebl asked unanimous consent that the Assembly adjourn in honor of Nicolar Rivera, a senior at Stoughton High School, who came in first in the 126-pound weight class at the Cheesehead Invitational at Kaukauna High School. In the championship match, Nicolar defeated No. 1 ranked wrestler in the country in his weight class. Nicolar was voted Most Outstanding Wrestler at the tournament, where teams from nine different states participated. Granted.
Representative Hebl asked unanimous consent that the Assembly adjourn in honor of Julie Nygaard of Stoughton, who received the Melvin Jones Fellowship award, the Lions Club International highest award. Granted.
