3has had an enormous impact on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus and

AJR144,1,75 Whereas, Chancellor Blank's collaborative and bold leadership invigorated
6growth and excellence within the University, already a hub for education, research,
7knowledge, and innovation; and
AJR144,1,118 Whereas, Chancellor Blank's introduction of Bucky's Tuition Promise saw a
9more diverse and inclusive student body emerge, in which students from low-income
10families and students of color could seek the benefits of attending one of the nation's
11most prestigious public universities; and
AJR144,1,1412 Whereas, Chancellor Blank's commitment to furthering diversity and inclusion
13earned her the 2021 Posse Foundation Star Award for her leadership in educational
14equity; and
1Whereas, Chancellor Blank's research and policy portfolio secured her
2designation as the 2021 Distinguished Fellow of the American Economic
3Association; and

5of Wisconsin-Madison campus and community better than when she started; and

11Wisconsin Legislature join in honoring Dr. Rebecca M. Blank as an inspirational and
12cherished leader of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and in thanking her for her
13service to our state.
