4five before returning to California with her family; and

6District Attorney of San Francisco, where she created the Environmental Justice
7Unit; and
AJR44,1,98 Whereas, Vice President Harris served as California's first African American
9Attorney General; and

11Justice, which made criminal justice data readily accessible to the public; and

13educational children's books to nonfiction works regarding criminal justice reform;
1Whereas, in 2016, Vice President Harris became the first Indian American to
2serve in the United States Senate; and

4immigration and criminal justice reform, and served on the Senate Budget
