ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 572

AB572-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB572-AA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 4: delete “than 2" and substitute “than 3".

AB572-AA1,1,3 2. Page 3, line 16: delete “2" and substitute “3".

AB572-AA1,1,5 3. Page 5, line 15: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with page 6, line 2, and substitute:

AB572-AA1,1,6 “ Section 3m. 6.875 (6) (c) 2. of the statutes is repealed and recreated to read:

AB572-AA1,2,3 6.875 (6) (c) 2. The administrator of a qualified retirement home or residential care facility, or the administrator's designee, shall provide notice by email of the dates and times when the special voting deputies will be visiting the home or facility to each individual designated as a contact by the occupant who intends to vote by absentee ballot with the deputies. The content of the email shall contain a disclaimer that the occupant maintains the right of privacy and that the notice is for information purposes only. The administrator, or administrator's designee, may provide the same notice to any other individual upon the occupant's request. Any individual receiving a notice under this subdivision may be present in the room where the voting is conducted.”.
