AB573-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB573-AA1,1,3 21. Page 2, line 8: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with
3page 3, line 3, and substitute:
AB573-AA1,2,4 4“(b) Within 180 days after the effective date of this paragraph, the department
5of health services shall obtain and review proposals using its competitive selection
6process to award contracts to certified county crisis agencies for the purposes of
7providing virtual behavioral health crisis care services to individuals experiencing
8a behavioral crisis. Certified county crisis agencies that are awarded grants under
9this subsection may contract with their local law enforcement jurisdictions to
10provide telehealth equipment and develop virtual behavioral health care. Grants
11awarded under the competitive selection process may include remote access via
122-way audio/video communication, and grant awardees may contract for services
13with a private entity for the purposes of training, equipment, or decision-making

1support. No grant may be awarded under this paragraph unless the certified county
2crisis agency who will receive the grant certifies to the department of health services
3that grant funding will pay no more than 75 percent of the cost of providing virtual
4behavioral health crisis care services.
AB573-AA1,2,115 (c) Any certified county crisis agency that is eligible to provide crisis services
6may apply for a grant under the competitive selection process under par. (b). When
7awarding grants under par. (b), the department of health services may award no
8more than 50 percent of the program resources for the program under par. (a) to
9certified county crisis agencies who serve a population of more than 50,000, and no
10more than 10 percent of the program resources may be allocated to a single certified
11county crisis agency.”.
