Providing funding to the Medical College of Wisconsin for violence prevention grants
This bill provides funding to the Medical College of Wisconsin to make violence prevention grants supporting activities that enhance the safety and well-being of children, youth, and families throughout Wisconsin.
For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
Section
1. 20.250 (2) (title) of the statutes is amended to read:
20.250 (2) (title) Research and community support.

involves a change in an appropriation that must be reflected in the revised schedule in s. 20.005, stats.
Section
2. 20.250 (2) (a) of the statutes is created to read:
20.250 (2) (a) Violence prevention grants. Biennially, the amounts in the schedule to make violence prevention grants supporting local, evidence-informed activities that enhance the safety and well-being of children, youth, and families throughout this state.

involves a change in an appropriation that must be reflected in the revised schedule in s. 20.005, stats.
