State funding for local transportation facilities
Under current law, DOT is appropriated moneys received from local units of government and the federal government for the purposes of providing public access roads to navigable waters; improving highway connections between the UW System and state charitable or penal institutions; constructing and maintaining UW System, state charitable or penal institution, and state capitol roadways; constructing and maintaining state park, forest, and riverway roads; and improving transportation facilities.
This bill creates an appropriation of state moneys from the transportation fund for the same purposes.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
Section
1. 20.395 (2) (fw) of the statutes is created to read:
20.395 (2) (fw) Local transportation facility improvement assistance, state funds. As a continuing appropriation, the amounts in the schedule for providing public access roads to navigable waters and for the purposes of ss. 84.27 and 84.28 and for improving transportation facilities, including facilities funded under applicable federal acts or programs, that are not state trunk or connecting highways, for such purposes.
