Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge
This bill requires DOT, in the 2023-24 fiscal year, to set aside $1,200,000 of the amounts appropriated to DOT for bridge development, construction, and rehabilitation for repairs to the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge in Brown County.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
Section 1. 20.395 (2) (eq) of the statutes is amended to read:
20.395 (2) (eq) Highway and local bridge improvement assistance, state funds. As a continuing appropriation, the amounts in the schedule for bridge development, construction, and rehabilitation under s. 84.18, for the development and construction of bridges under ss. 84.12 and 84.17, for payments to local units of government for jurisdictional transfers under s. 84.16, for the improvement of the state trunk highway system under 1985 Wisconsin Act 341, section 6 (1), to provide for the payments specified under 2001 Wisconsin Act 16, section 9152 (3d), and for the payment required under 2015 Wisconsin Act 55, section 9145 (3f) , and for the improvement specified under 2023 Wisconsin Act.... (this act), section 9144 (1).
Section 9144. Nonstatutory provisions; Transportation.
(1) Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge. Notwithstanding eligibility requirements for receiving aid or limitations on the amount and use of aid provided under s. 84.18, in the 2023-24 fiscal year, from the appropriation under s. 20.395 (2) (eq), the department of transportation shall set aside $1,200,000 for repairs to the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge in Brown County.
