1An Act to create 20.255 (3) (cm) and 115.428 of the statutes;
relating to: stipend

Under this bill, the Department of Public Instruction must provide stipends to
individuals who are 1) enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program leading
to licensure as a school social worker and 2) placed as a school social worker intern
in a public school governed by a school board.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

6under s. 20.255 (3) (cm), beginning in the 2024-25 school year, the department shall
7provide payments to individuals who are all of the following:

9school in a program of study leading to licensure as a school social worker.
