SB66,1,2 1An Act to amend 343.17 (3) (d) 1g. of the statutes; relating to: seasonal period
2for farm service license endorsement.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, no person may operate a motor vehicle upon a highway in
this state unless the person possesses a valid operator's license. Additional
endorsements are required for the operation of certain vehicles. An “F” endorsement
authorizes a seasonal farm employee who is eligible for a restricted commercial
driver license under federal law to operate certain commercial vehicles for a seasonal
period not to exceed 180 days in any calendar year. This bill increases the seasonal
period for an “F” endorsement to 210 days.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB66,1 3Section 1. 343.17 (3) (d) 1g. of the statutes is amended to read:
SB66,2,74 343.17 (3) (d) 1g. “F" endorsement, which authorizes a seasonal employee of

7vehicles as described in s. 343.04 (1) (b) and (c) for a seasonal period not to exceed 180

1210 days in any calendar year. This endorsement permits the transporting of liquid
2fertilizers in vehicles or implements of husbandry with total capacities of 3,000
3gallons or less, solid fertilizers that are not transported with any organic substance
4or 1,000 gallons or less of diesel fuel, but no combination of these materials. The
