- Graduate Tomahawk High School, 1981; B.S. in Finance and Economics, University of Wisconsin-River Falls, 1986.
- Insurance agency owner.
- Member: Tomahawk Main Street, Inc. (former president); Tomahawk Regional Chamber of Commerce; Tomahawk Child Care (former president); NRA (lifetime member); Professional Insurance Agents of Wisconsin (former board member, secretary, treasurer, vice president, president, national director).
- Former member: National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research (board member).
- Elected to Assembly 2012-18. Leadership positions: Assistant Majority Leader 2019. Elected to Senate 2020.
