SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 14

SB14-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB14-SA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 2: delete the material beginning with “and creating an administrative rule” and ending with “unconscious patients” on line 3.

SB14-SA1,1,4 2. Page 1, line 5: before “A hospital” insert “(1)”.

SB14-SA1,1,5 3. Page 2, line 3: after that line insert:

SB14-SA1,1,9 “(2) A hospital shall maintain written policies and procedures requiring written informed consent to be obtained from a patient before a pelvic examination is performed solely for educational purposes on the patient while the patient is under general anesthesia or otherwise unconscious.”.
