Notice of Submittal of Proposed Rule to
Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse
On May 19, 2015, the Department of Natural Resources submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Clearinghouse pursuant to s. 227.15 (1), Wis. Stats. Analysis
The proposed rules affect Chapters NR 20 and 23, relating to modifications in walleye harvest management in Ceded Territory waters. A related emergency rule, EmR1511, affecting similar Administrative Code provisions contained in this proposed rule and relating to the same purpose has been published and is in effect.
Statement of Scope
The scope statement for this rule, SS 116-14, was approved by the Governor on November 7, 2014, published in Register No. 707B on December 1, 2014, and approved by the Natural Resources Board on January 28, 2015. Agency Procedure for Promulgation
A public hearing is required and three hearings will be held on June 10, 11, and 12, 2015, to hear comments on both the emergency and permanent rules.
