This is a department exception to the requirements in IBC section 1018.6 1020.6: Other spaces or rooms constructed as required for corridors, and that are adjacent to a fire-resistance-rated corridor, shall may not be construed as intervening rooms; and may be open to the corridor when all of the following are satisfied:

Where a multistory unit is provided with external elevator service to only one floor, the floor provided with elevator service shall be the primary entry to the unit, shall comply with the requirements for a Type B unit and a toilet facility shall be provided on that floor.

SECTION 141.

SPS 362.1203 is created to read:SPS 362.1203 Natural ventilation. This is a department rule in addition to the requirements in IBC section 1203.5: The use of natural ventilation shall be permitted in any of the following:
