CHAPTER PI 34
EDUCATOR LICENSES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to s. 115.28 (7) (a), Stats., the Department of Public Instruction will hold a public hearing as required under s. 227.16, Stats., to consider the promulgation of the following proposed permanent rules:
Clearinghouse Rule 20-070, amending PI 34 relating to relating to speech and language pathologist licenses. This proposed rule specifies a pathway for licensees who hold a tier I speech-language pathologist license to become eligible for a tier II license and makes technical changes to the rule to conform the rule’s terminology with current terminology for speech-language pathologists.
Clearinghouse Rule 20-071, amending PI 34 relating to relating to alternative completion standards for educator preparation programs. This proposed rule addresses the prohibition that no more than 10 percent of the cohort of students completing an educator preparation program may be measured using alternative measures of performance while maintaining high standards in the use of each alternative measure.

The purpose of this hearing to consider public testimony on the proposed rules under consideration. Interested persons are invited to call into the hearing and will be afforded the opportunity to make a presentation of their position on the proposed rule orally. Questions or comments about the proposed rule under consideration may be posed and will be duly recorded.
