NOTICE OF SUBMITTAL OF PROPOSED RULE TO
TO LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL RULES CLEARINGHOUSE
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection announces that it has referred the following proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse, pursuant to s. 227.15 (1), Stats. Analysis
The proposed rule amends ATCP 21 relating to plant inspection and pest control.
Statement of Scope and Proposed Rule
The scope statement for this rule, SS 115-20, was approved by the Governor on August 13, 2020, published in Register No. 776A4 on August 24, 2020, and approved by the Board of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection as required by s. 227.135 (2), Stats., on November 19, 2020. The proposed hearing draft of the rule was approved by the Board of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection as required by s. 227.136 (2), Stats., on March 3, 2022. The department will hold public hearings on this rule on April 6, 2022 and April 7, 2022, through a means that is fully compliant with Wisconsin law and COVID-19 protocols.
