Rule Submittal Date
On July 3,2025, the Wisconsin Department of Revenue submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse.
The scope statement for this rule, SS 009-24, was approved by the Governor on January 18 2024, published in Register No. 813A3 on February 19, 2024, and approved by the Secretary of Revenue on March 7, 2024. Analysis
The proposed rule addresses sections of administrative code affected by 2023 Wisconsin Act 73, as well as creating relevant deadlines, standards, and processes for compliance. Further, the proposed rule reviews and amends existing Administrative Code Chapters Tax 7 and 8 to bring the regulatory framework into compliance with the new law. Agency Procedure for Promulgation
A public hearing on the proposed rule is required and will be scheduled.
The Office of the Secretary is primarily responsible for the promulgation of the proposed rule.
