1997 WISCONSIN ACT 151
An Act to renumber and amend 29.22 (1); and to create 29.22 (1) (a) of the statutes; relating to: hunting near certain schools.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
151,1 Section 1 . 29.22 (1) of the statutes is renumbered 29.22 (1) (b) and amended to read:
29.22 (1) (b) No person shall hunt within 1700 feet of any hospital, school grounds or sanatorium or the grounds of any school. The department may furnish signs designating the restricted area. No conviction shall be had for a violation of this subsection paragraph unless the restricted area is designated by such signs.
151,2 Section 2 . 29.22 (1) (a) of the statutes is created to read:
29.22 (1) (a) In this subsection, “school" means a public or private elementary or secondary school, including a charter school, or a technical college.
