2005 WISCONSIN ACT 108
An Act to amend 29.164 (3) (b) 3. of the statutes; and
to affect 2005 Wisconsin Act 82, section
5 (1);
relating to: assignment of a landowner's eligibility to apply for a turkey hunting license.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

1. 29.164 (3) (b) 3. of the statutes is amended to read:
29.164 (3) (b) 3. A qualified resident landowner may assign his or her eligibility to apply for a wild turkey hunting license under this paragraph as a qualified resident landowner to a family member, to an operator or, to a family member of the operator., or to a minor. A qualified resident landowner may not receive any consideration for the assignment of his or her eligibility under this subdivision. The department may specify the procedures and forms which are required to be followed and completed to effect this assignment. After this assignment, the assignee may apply for a wild turkey hunting license under this paragraph as a qualified resident landowner and the qualified resident landowner who assigned his or her eligibility may not so apply.

(1) This act takes effect
on the retroactively to January 1
after publication, 2006.

Initial applicability.
(1) The treatment of section 29.164 (3) (b) 3. of the statutes first applies to applications for wild turkey hunting licenses submitted on the effective date of this subsection.

Effective dates. This act takes effect on the day after publication, except as follows:
(1g) The treatment of section 29.164 (3) (b) 3. of the statutes takes effect on January 1, 2007.
