29.024 (6) (d) The department may promulgate rules regulating the activities of persons appointed under pars. par. (a) 2., 3., and 4. and (am) 2. and 3.
222,4 Section 4. 29.024 (7) of the statutes is amended to read:
29.024 (7) Duplicates. If any license, permit, certificate, or card is lost, the person to whom the license, permit, certificate, or card was issued may apply to the department for a duplicate by submitting an affidavit proving loss. The department may accept information in a form other than an affidavit. The department shall make an inquiry and investigation as it considers necessary. If the department is satisfied that the loss has been proven, the department may issue a duplicate license, permit, certificate, or card to the applicant. Back tags and other tags Tags issued with a license, permit, certificate , or card are parts of the license, permit, certificate, or card and loss of any part is considered to be loss of the entire license, permit, certificate, or card. Upon applying for a duplicate license, permit, certificate, or card, the applicant shall surrender all parts of the original remaining in his or her possession to the department. No duplicate stamp may be issued and if a stamp is lost, the person to whom it was issued is required to apply for and pay the regular fee in order to receive a new stamp.
222,5 Section 5. 29.171 (3) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:
29.171 (3) (a) Except as provided under par. (b), the department shall issue to each person who is issued a resident archer hunting license a deer tag and a back tag.
222,6 Section 6. 29.171 (3) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:
29.171 (3) (b) The department may not issue a deer tag or back tag to a person who is issued a resident archer hunting license at the reduced fee under s. 29.563 (2g).
222,7 Section 7. 29.172 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:
29.172 (3) (a) Except as provided under par. (b), the department shall issue to each person who is issued a resident crossbow hunting license a deer tag and a back tag.
(b) The department may not issue a deer tag or back tag to a person who is issued a resident crossbow hunting license at the reduced fee under s. 29.563 (2g).
222,8 Section 8. 29.173 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:
29.173 (3) Deer tag and back tag. The department shall issue to each person who is issued a resident deer hunting license a deer tag and a back tag.
222,9 Section 9. 29.182 (4) (g) of the statutes is amended to read:
29.182 (4) (g) The organization known as the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation shall transfer the license awarded under par. (f) only to a person who is qualified to receive a resident elk hunting license and shall transfer to that person the carcass tag and back tag that was issued by the department to the organization under subs. sub. (6) and (7).
222,10 Section 10. 29.182 (7) of the statutes is repealed.
222,11 Section 11. 29.184 (6g) (c) of the statutes is amended to read:
29.184 (6g) (c) The organization known as the Wisconsin Bear Hunters' Association, Inc., shall transfer the certificate awarded under par. (b) only to persons who are qualified to receive a Class A bear hunting license. A person who receives a certificate may present that certificate to the department and request a resident or nonresident Class A bear hunting license. Upon receipt of the certificate and the appropriate required fees, the department shall issue the holder of the certificate a resident or nonresident Class A bear hunting license and the carcass tag and back tag under subs. sub. (8) and (9).
222,12 Section 12. 29.184 (9) of the statutes is repealed.
222,13 Section 13. 29.211 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:
29.211 (3) Deer tag and back tag. The department shall issue to each person who is issued a nonresident deer hunting license a deer tag and a back tag.
222,14 Section 14. 29.216 (3) (title) and (a) of the statutes are amended to read:
29.216 (3) (title) Deer tag and back tag. (a) Except as provided under par. (b), the department shall issue to each person who is issued a nonresident archer hunting license a deer tag and a back tag.
222,15 Section 15. 29.216 (3) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:
29.216 (3) (b) The department may not issue a deer tag or back tag to a person who is issued a nonresident archer hunting license if the department issues the nonresident archer hunting license at the reduced fee under s. 29.563 (2g).
222,16 Section 16. 29.217 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:
29.217 (3) Deer tag and back tag. (a) The department shall issue to each person who is issued a nonresident crossbow hunting license a deer tag and a back tag.
(b) The department may not issue a deer tag or back tag to a person who is issued a nonresident crossbow hunting license at the reduced fee under s. 29.563 (2g).
222,17 Section 17. 29.231 (4) of the statutes is amended to read:
29.231 (4) The department shall issue to each person who is issued a sports license a deer tag and back tag.
222,18 Section 18. 29.235 (4) of the statutes is amended to read:
29.235 (4) Deer tag and back tag. The department shall issue to each person who is issued a conservation patron license a deer tag and back tag.
222,19 Section 19. 29.301 (3) of the statutes is repealed.
222,20 Section 20. 29.561 of the statutes is repealed.
