2021 WISCONSIN ACT 140
An Act to renumber 946.465; to amend 946.465 (title); and to create 946.465 (1) and 946.465 (2) (title) of the statutes; relating to: refusing or tampering with a global positioning system tracking device and providing a penalty.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
140,1 Section 1. 946.465 (title) of the statutes is amended to read:
946.465 (title) Tampering Refusing or tampering with a global positioning system tracking device.
140,2 Section 2. 946.465 of the statutes is renumbered 946.465 (2).
140,3 Section 3. 946.465 (1) of the statutes is created to read:
946.465 (1) Refusing a global positioning system tracking device. Whoever, without the authorization of the department of corrections, knowingly refuses, resists, or obstructs the installation of a global positioning system tracking device or comparable technology that is provided under s. 301.48 or 301.49 is guilty of a Class I felony.
140,4 Section 4. 946.465 (2) (title) of the statutes is created to read:
946.465 (2) (title) Tampering with a global positioning system tracking device.
