AB591-SA7,1,2 At the locations indicated, amend the bill, as shown by assembly substitute amendment 3, as follows:

AB591-SA7,1,3 1. Page 64, line 11: after that line insert:

AB591-SA7,1,4 "11. Approve customized labor training programs under s. 49.147 (4) (ap).".

AB591-SA7,1,6 2. Page 75, line 1: delete that line, as affected by chief clerk's correction, and substitute:

AB591-SA7,1,9 "(ap) Customized labor training. 1. A participant under this subsection may participate in a customized labor training program under this paragraph in order to satisfy all or part of a participation requirement under this subsection.

AB591-SA7,1,11 2. A customized labor training program may be offered to a participant under this paragraph if the program meets all of the following requirements:

AB591-SA7,1,12 a. The program provides training for a specifically identified job.

AB591-SA7,1,14 b. An employer has offered to place a program participant in the specifically identified job upon successful completion of the program.

AB591-SA7,1,15 c. The program has been approved by the community steering committee.

AB591-SA7,2,7 3. A participant may participate in a customized labor training program under this paragraph for up to 40 hours per week. Each hour of participation in a customized labor training program, for the first 10 hours of participation in a week, may be used to satisfy an hour of any required participation in an education or training activity under par. (am). Each hour of participation in a customized labor training program in excess of 10 hours in a week may be used to satisfy an hour of any required participation in a community service job.

AB591-SA7,2,11 4. Notwithstanding par. (b), under circumstances approved by the department, an individual participating in a customized labor training program under this paragraph may continue in the customized labor training program in fulfillment of a community service job for a maximum of 12 months.

AB591-SA7,2,13 (as) Required hours. Except as provided in pars. (ap) and (at), a Wisconsin works agency".
