AB706-ASA1-AA1,1,3 1. Page 5, line 13: after "period" insert: "after completing service on active duty and".

AB706-ASA1-AA1,1,5 2. Page 7, line 16: after " period" insert: "after completing service on active duty and".

AB706-ASA1-AA1,1,7 3. Page 11, line 25: delete "15 consecutive years" and substitute: "5 consecutive years after completing service on active duty".

AB706-ASA1-AA1,1,9 4. Page 12, line 24: after " period" insert: "after completing service on active duty and".

AB706-ASA1-AA1,1,11 5. Page 15, line 11: after "resident who" insert: "is a veteran, as defined in s. 45.35 (5) (a) or who".

AB706-ASA1-AA1,1,12 6. Page 15, line 13: after "armed forces" insert "for 2 consecutive years".

AB706-ASA1-AA1,2,13 45.43 (8) Qualifications application. The qualifications necessary to be a county veterans' service officer or assistant county veterans' service officer under subs. (1) (a) and (6) (b) apply only to persons elected to serve as county veterans' service officers or assistant county veterans' service officers on or after the effective date of this subsection .... [revisor inserts date], who have not served as county veterans' service officers or assistant county veterans' service officers before the effective date of this subsection .... [revisor inserts date].".

AB706-ASA1-AA1, s. 41m Section 41m. 230.03 (14) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB706-ASA1-AA1,2,24 230.03 (14) (b) A person who served on active duty under honorable conditions other than dishonorable in the U.S. armed forces in Grenada, Lebanon, Panama, Somalia or a Middle East crisis under s. 45.34.".

AB706-ASA1-AA1,3,2 " Section 42m. 230.16 (7m) (a) 3. of the statutes is amended to read:

AB706-ASA1-AA1,3,4 230.16 (7m) (a) 3. Was honorably discharged under conditions other than dishonorable from the U.S. armed forces.".
