SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, To 1995 SENATE BILL 395

SB395-SSA1,1,3 An Act to amend 13.58 (3); and to create 13.58 (5) (a) 6. and 13.91 (1) (d) of the statutes; relating to: duties and staffing of the joint committee on information policy and making an appropriation.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

SB395-SSA1, s. 1 Section 1. 13.58 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB395-SSA1,1,6 13.58 (3) Staff. The committee shall be staffed as are other standing committees of the legislature under s. 13.91 (1) (d).

SB395-SSA1, s. 2 Section 2. 13.58 (5) (a) 6. of the statutes is created to read:

SB395-SSA1,1,12 13.58 (5) (a) 6. Review any use by legislative committees and legislators of public video conferencing facilities for conducting public hearings or other meetings and make recommendations to the joint committee on legislative organization and other appropriate legislative committees on use of public video conferencing facilities for these purposes.

SB395-SSA1, s. 3 Section 3. 13.91 (1) (d) of the statutes is created to read:

SB395-SSA1,2,2 13.91 (1) (d) Designate an employe to provide staff services to the joint committee on information policy.

SB395-SSA1, s. 4 Section 4. Appropriation changes.

SB395-SSA1,2,8 (1) In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the joint legislative council under section 20.765 (3) (e) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 1995, the dollar amount is increased by $58,100 for fiscal year 1996-97 to provide staff services to the joint committee on information policy under section 13.91 (1) (d) of the statutes, as created by this act.
