SENATE AMENDMENT 5, To ASSEMBLY BILL 1

AB1-SA5,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the engrossed bill as follows:

AB1-SA5,1,2 1. Page 30, line 19: delete "A" and substitute: "(1) Subject to sub. (2), a".

AB1-SA5,1,3 2. Page 30, line 24: substitute "subsection" for "section".

AB1-SA5,1,4 3. Page 30, line 25: after that line insert:

AB1-SA5,1,13 "(2) No county may become part of a district's jurisdiction under sub. (1) until the county boards of more than 50% of the counties within the jurisdiction described under sub. (1) adopt a resolution stating that the county is part of the district's jurisdiction and forward a copy of the resolution to the district's office. If the county boards of more than 50% of the counties within the jurisdiction adopt such a resolution, all of the counties within the jurisdiction shall be part of the district's jurisdiction. Each county board shall vote on a resolution that determines whether the county shall become a part of a district's jurisdiction not later than 30 days after the effective date of this subsection ....
