(7f) Grant or loan for pedestrian bridge project.

1(a) The department of commerce may make a grant or loan of not more than
2$1,200,000 from the appropriations under section 20.143 (1) (c) and (ie) of the
3statutes, as affected by this act, to a person for a project that includes a pedestrian
4bridge, if all of the following apply:

9proposed use of the grant or loan and the secretary of commerce approves the plan.

12grant or loan proceeds, including reporting and auditing requirements.

14within 6 months after spending the full amount of the grant or loan, a report
15detailing how the grant or loan proceeds were used.

17department of commerce shall deposit in the appropriation account under section
1820.143 (1) (ie) of the statutes, as affected by this act, any moneys received in

21additional member who represents private labor organizations is appointed to the
22prison industries board.

31995 stats., to represent the University of Wisconsin System, may continue to serve

15organizations shall expire on May 1, 2001, and the initial term of the member
16appointed to represent the department of administration shall expire on May 1,
172003.".

20(1h) Repeal of consumer credit review board; pending matters. All matters
21pending before the consumer credit review board on the effective date of this
22subsection are terminated without prejudice. Notwithstanding section 227.53 (1) (a)
232. of the statutes, a person may seek review, under section 227.53 of the statutes, of
24any matter which is pending before the consumer credit review board on the effective
1date of this subsection. In order to seek such review, the person shall file a petition
2for review, in the manner specified in section 227.53 of the statutes, and shall serve
3the petition upon all parties under section 227.48 of the statutes, within 30 days after
4the effective date of this subsection.".

15of the statutes, as affected by this act.".

18(1) Efficiency measures. The governor shall endeavor to ensure that the
19expenditures from the appropriation under section 20.525 (1) (a) of the statutes shall

22fiscal year and by at least $51,400 for the 1998-99 fiscal year.".

18pesticide review board that are in effect on the effective date of this paragraph are

21date or until rescinded by the department of agriculture, trade and consumer
22protection, whichever comes first.

5cooperation with other state agencies, shall study whether there is a correlation
6between the presence of wetlands and the increase in cases of blastomycosis. The

8manner provided in section 13.172 (2) of the statutes no later than June 30, 1999.".

15early detection of osteoporosis and options for diagnosing and treating osteoporosis.".

8nursing home formula need be used to increase the direct care target above 103% of

2equipment for county child support agencies. Of the amounts appropriated to the
3department of workforce development under section 20.445 (3) (n) of the statutes,
4$600,000 in fiscal year 1997-98 shall be allocated for the purchase of kids
5information and data system (KIDS) equipment for county child support agencies.".

(5qh) Learnfare sanctions. Using the procedure under section 227.24 of the
8statutes, the department of workforce development may promulgate rules required
9under section 49.26 of the statutes, as affected by this act, for the period before the

11statutes, as affected by this act, but not to exceed the period authorized under section
12227.24 (1) (c) and (2) of the statutes. Notwithstanding section 227.24 (1) (a) and (2)
13(b) of the statutes, the department of workforce development need not provide
14evidence of the necessity of preservation of the public peace, health, safety or welfare
15in promulgating rules under this subsection.".

22with the board by means of electronic transmission and to permit members of the
23public to access the data base electronically.".

(1to) Vending machines. The legislative audit bureau shall study the
3feasibility of replacing the sales tax on food and beverages sold from vending
4machines with a permit fee imposed on the owners of those machines, the fiscal

7legislature, in the manner provided under section 13.172 (2) of the statutes, on or
8before February 1, 1998.".
