SB315-AA15,2,3 153.62 Joint committee on finance review. Prior to imposing an assessment on a class of health care providers that has not previously been assessed under s. 153.60, the department shall notify the joint committee on finance of the proposed assessment. The department may proceed with implementation of the assessment if, within 14 working days after the notification, the committee does not schedule a meeting for the purpose of reviewing the department's proposed assessment. If the committee schedules a meeting for the purpose of reviewing the proposed assessment, the assessment may not take effect unless the committee approves the assessment.".
